Carter Country follows the two-year journey of America's most unlikely Presidential candidate Jimmy Carter and his small town that followed him every step of the way. This documentary seeks to capture the forgotten spirit of 1976, the last great Presidential election of the 20th century, when a small town in Georgia suddenly became the political capital of the world. This documentary is not the latest retelling of Jimmy Carter. It is the first telling of the community (his community) and their collective efforts that managed to lift up one of their own into The White House.
